In the field of revitalisation of large office properties the ABG Group has sound experience and first-class references. The revitalisation works do not consist of minor or design works to existing buildings but of comprehensive and structural changes in the building fabric, structure and technical services, in order to create very modern high-quality office space as far as the given circumstances permit.
The revitalisation of Garden Tower in Frankfurt (the former headquarters of the HeLaBa state bank of Hesse-Thuringia, with around 26,000 m² of lettable area) by the ABG Group is considered far beyond the borders of Germany as a prime example of how a landmark property desired by tenants with modern floor layouts, high-quality and efficient technical building services and the best possible fitting-out can be created from a hardly usable high-rise building of the 1970s.
In addition to this the revitalisation of the Sprinkenhof building in Hamburg (around 48,000 m² of gross floor area) also represents a milestone. The building listed as a protected public monument, which was designed by the architects Höger and Gerson, counts as one of the first big office buildings of the 20th century and shows, as befits its age, all the features of a building of the 1920s. In this sensitive framework the ABG Group has carried out a comprehensive revitalisation, in which classical elements (such as for example the paternoster lift) are being combined with very well fitted-out office space.
