11.06.2014 – Hamburg – ABG buys Deutschlandhaus in Hamburg
The ABG Group has bought Deutschlandhaus in Hamburg. It was sold by the special property asset fund “CS Euroreal”, represented by Credit Suisse Asset Management Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft. The striking office and commercial building at Dammtorstraße 1 occupies a prime inner-city location overlooking Gänsemarkt. The commercial property has a net floor area of around 25,500 m² on nine upper storeys and two basement levels plus 49 parking spaces and was built in 1928–29 by Grundwert AG, a subsidiary of Dresdner Bank AG. The wing of the building fronting An der Drehbahn, completely destroyed in the Second World War, was rebuilt in 1975–78. In 2006 the commercial property was completely renovated by the owner at the time. The historic building with its impressive urban architecture is being taken over fully occupied by a subsidiary of the ABG Group. Commerzbank AG is the primary tenant of the office accommodation.
